Praise me!

As of this morning, I have officially worked out 5 days a week for 39 weeks of pregnancy. Ok, I missed a few days early-ish on while I was in Madison, but otherwise, I have had my butt at the gym. (Thank God for the elliptical machine. I wish I could elliptical everywhere rather than walk. It is WAY more comfortable.) Now tell me how impressive I am!

We'll see what happens next week, but it seems that, however labor and delivery go, being in better shape can't hurt.

8 days till D-Day...

woah.... you are awesome and i am a slug. i am lucky if i remember to do a few kegels. perhaps if i had been as diligent as you, i wouldn't find it so unbearably uncomfortable simply to walk around now. every day i wish for someone to come along with a chaise lounge and some muscular servants to carry me down the hall (preferably while fanning me and feeding me grapes). that is about the level of exercise i am at right now.

you totally rock.

OMG, walking sucks for me too! I don't know why when it seems to be so non-hard-core-exercise-y (and the exercise so often recommended for late pregnancy). I have this new thing the past few weeks where I often get a cramp when I walk - no matter how slow I go. I am always shocked at the fact that no one on the street ever stops to ask if I'm okay while I'm holding on to my belly and grimacing - not to mention the times I've ridden the metro and no one has given up a seat for me. Ah, Washington, DC! What a glorious place!

You are truly awesome. And to think I was so proud of my 2 days a week at the gym (though inconsistently) and my weekly yoga class. It all pales by comparison. I am sure that all the exercise will help with the birth.

And you should really start shaming people into giving you their seats. Maybe with an innocent question like, "Are you carrying an 8 pound baby, too?"

I can't believe how close you are! I'm so excited for you.
